Cara & Alem: Varadero, Cuba
Cara & Alem’s wedding was unforgettable! They are such a cool, laid-back couple and we had such a great time getting to know them over drinks, lunches, and our cha-cha, rumba, and salsa night out!
Their ceremony was perfect. The sun, who had been hiding out the day before and the morning of, decided to show up right before and gifted us with the most amazing light and pristine, turquoise water imaginable! During the dinner/reception we were serenaded by live classical musicians, whose talent gave me goosebumps, especially when they played one of my requests, one of my faves, “Moonlight Sonata”.
After dinner we snuck out into the pitch dark night to a cave that we had scoped out earlier in the week. A few ant bites later, and with a bit of help from the maid of honor’s cell phone, we got the shots we wanted!
Idyllic Varadero…Cuba has been on our minds ever since we left…so much history, culture, and sexy sounds for such a little island!
Christine & Cory: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Gorgeous Punta Cana. The ocean was calm, and the breeze was perfect on the palmtree-lined semi-deserted beach where we took the bride, groom, and guests for some post-ceremony shots after their picturesque garden wedding. The hotel grounds provided ideal settings for a variety of different looks for their photos. The connection between Cory & Christine was magnetic and they were so happy and at ease as we casually strolled around the grounds, ending back at the beach in time for the perfect sunset. This couple truly treasure each other and their friends and family, and the bond between the whole group was just awesome!
There is something so magical about destination weddings. The way the sun reflects off of the clear water and lights the unspoiled natural surroundings creates the most mysterious & delicious lighting conditions, the relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that creates the ideal ambience, and the relationships that are forged after spending so much time together are just priceless. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day and for your friendship!
